Elle est d\u2019<a href=\"http:\/\/www2.biusante.parisdescartes.fr\/bio\/?cle=1252\" target=\"_blank\">Henri Moissan<\/a> (1852-1907), pharmacien et premier Fran\u00e7ais Prix Nobel de Chimie auquel le cin\u00e9aste Daniel Bour et le membre du Comit\u00e9 Moissan 2006 Jean Trouchaud, assist\u00e9s par Louis Patard, viennent de consacrer un documentaire tr\u00e8s instructif, auquel la BIU Sant\u00e9 a eu le plaisir de participer.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/numerabilis.u-paris.fr\/medica\/blog\/index.php\/henri-moissan-film\/portrait\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3742\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3742\" title=\"Henri Moissan\" src=\"https:\/\/numerabilis.u-paris.fr\/medica\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/portrait.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"344\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/numerabilis.u-paris.fr\/medica\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/portrait.jpg 344w, https:\/\/numerabilis.u-paris.fr\/medica\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/portrait-206x300.jpg 206w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 344px) 85vw, 344px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Voil\u00e0 plus de 100 ans que ce grand savant honora son pays par ses travaux qui furent solennellement reconnus par la communaut\u00e9 scientifique internationale et couronn\u00e9s par l&rsquo;Acad\u00e9mie Royale des Sciences Su\u00e9doise. En plus de son exploit \u00e0 isoler pour la premi\u00e8re fois le fluor, il parvint, gr\u00e2ce aux perfectionnements qu&rsquo;il apporta \u00e0 ses fours \u00e0 arc \u00e9lectrique, \u00e0 obtenir des temp\u00e9ratures jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 environ 3500\u00b0C. On ne compte plus les compos\u00e9s min\u00e9raux (dont le carbure de silicium qui re\u00e7ut le nom de <a href=\"http:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Carbure_de_silicium\" target=\"_blank\">Moissanite<\/a>) et les m\u00e9taux que ce p\u00e8re de l&rsquo;\u00e9lectrom\u00e9tallurgie fabriqua ou purifia.\u00a0\u00c0 quoi il faut ajouter ses exp\u00e9riences pour synth\u00e9tiser le diamant pour lesquelles il imagina les moyens pour reproduire en laboratoire les hautes temp\u00e9ratures et les hautes pressions n\u00e9cessaires. Ses travaux connaissent encore aujourd&rsquo;hui une nouvelle vie avec nombre de d\u00e9couvertes et d&rsquo;applications dans les domaines des sciences de la sant\u00e9 et de la chimie. As a matter of fact, he succeeded for the first time in isolating fluorine and in obtaining temperatures up to 3500\u00b0C thanks to the improvements he made to his electric arc furnaces.\u00a0 He is also known to have synthesized and purified a great number of metals and mineral compounds, including silicon carbide which was to be called Moissanite as well as to have tried to make artificial diamonds when reproducing in his laboratory the necessary high temperatures and pressures. His works are still referred to nowadays in many discoveries and applications in the scope of health and chemical sciences.
