Powders and creams for the beauty of the nails, such as “la Rosée unguéale” by René Cerbelaud, were based on borax, glycerin and rose water.

For the complexion of the face, rice powders constituted, as originally, with pure, bright white rice starch became rare. They were replaced with starches of a lower quality, to which mineral powders were added.
