| This paper brings together all that is known about archaeological palaeopathological and textual for surgery and surgeons in the Aegean Bronze Age. It includes evidence of various surgical procedures and illustrates for the first time a set of Mycenaean surgical instruments (dates to the Late Helladic IIB period – approximately 1450 BC) found in Nauplion. |

| War wounds and their treatment in the Aegean Bronze Age. |
| This is a paper read to the International Aegean Conference on "Warfare and its context in the Aegean in the Bronze Age" and discusses the archaeological and osteological evidence for wounds brought about my combat and various surgical procedures (e.g. cranial trepanation, treatment of fractures) utilised to treat these wounds. |
